Refund Policy

We want you to feel confident before, during, and after working with us. This policy explains when refunds are available, how to request one, and what to expect.

Effective: August 13, 2026 Applies to: US & Canada

Overview

123InstantInk Guide is an independent third-party paid consultancy. We help people in the United States and Canada troubleshoot HP Instant Ink cartridge errors, sync problems, billing confusion, cancellation questions, and related issues. Our fee is charged only after you approve a written quote.

This Refund Policy sets out when a paid engagement is eligible for a refund, how to request one, and how we process it. It is a plain-language summary of the practical rules that govern our service — please read it before making a payment.

Short version: If we can't help you, or we haven't started work yet, you receive a full refund. If we've completed the work you approved, refunds are generally not available. Anything in between is handled case by case, in good faith.

When refunds are available

The following situations are generally eligible for a full or partial refund:

1. We are unable to help with your issue

If, after starting work, we determine that your issue is outside what our service can reasonably assist with, or if the underlying problem can only be resolved by HP directly, we will refund the amount you paid for that engagement in full.

2. Work has not yet started

If you paid a quote but we have not yet begun work — no research, no communication drafted, no time invested on your behalf — you may request a full refund at any time before work begins.

3. Service did not match what was promised

If the service delivered does not reasonably match what was described in the written quote you approved, you may request a refund. Please contact us within 7 calendar days of service completion so we can review the specific concern.

4. Duplicate or accidental payment

If you were charged more than once for the same engagement, or if a payment was clearly made in error, the extra amount will be refunded in full.

When refunds aren't available

Refunds are generally not available in the following cases:

  • The engagement has been completed and the outcome you approved was delivered.
  • You changed your mind after the work was already performed.
  • The underlying HP account, printer, or service was changed by you or a third party after our work concluded, causing new issues unrelated to the original engagement.
  • The information you provided was inaccurate or incomplete in a way that materially affected our ability to help.
  • The refund request is made more than 30 days after service completion.
Important: Outcomes with HP-controlled systems can vary. We do not guarantee HP will approve a refund on your subscription, restore a deactivated cartridge, or take any specific action. Our fee covers our time and guidance, not HP's decisions.

How to request a refund

To request a refund, please email us at support@123instantink-guide.com with:

  1. The name and email address used at the time of payment.
  2. The approximate date of the engagement.
  3. A brief description of the reason for the request.
  4. Any relevant details (for example, a screenshot of the original quote, if available).

We aim to respond within one business day. In most cases, a decision is made within three business days of receiving all needed information. If a refund is approved, we will confirm by email before initiating the payment reversal.

Processing time and method

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method used at the time of the engagement. Depending on your bank or card issuer, the funds may take between 5 and 10 business days to appear on your statement.

We do not offer refunds via cash, alternative accounts, or third-party payees. If your original payment method is no longer active, please contact us — we will work with you to find a reasonable alternative.

Cancelling an active engagement

You may cancel an active engagement at any time by emailing us. If you cancel:

  • Before work begins: Full refund.
  • While work is in progress: Partial refund based on time already invested. We'll share a good-faith breakdown before finalizing.
  • After work is completed: Generally not eligible for a refund, unless one of the situations under "When refunds are available" applies.

Chargebacks and disputes

We ask that any concern be raised with us directly before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card provider. In most cases, an issue can be resolved faster and more fully through direct communication.

If a chargeback is filed without prior communication, we will provide the payment processor with the original quote, communication records, and any deliverables associated with the engagement. This helps clarify the situation, but does not prevent us from continuing to work with you in good faith to reach a fair outcome.

Changes to this policy

This Refund Policy can be updated from time to time to reflect changes in our service, legal requirements, or process improvements. When changes are made, the "Effective" date at the top of this page will be updated. For any engagement, the version of the policy in effect on the date of payment will generally apply.
